Le Prince Maurice *****
Le Prince Maurice enjoys an idyllic location on the north east coast
of Mauritius. 15 minutes from the airport by helicopter and 35 km
from the capital Port Louis, Le Prince Maurice is situated on 60
acres of private land which is completely unspoilt, sheltered from
the prevailing winds and ensuring maximum privacy for its guests.
Its tropical gardens consist of rare and luxuriant vegetation and
the calm turquoise lagoon blends perfectly with the fresh green
hinterland and the secluded beaches of brilliant white sand. A
natural fish reserve situated on the western part of the hotel adds
to the uniqueness and natural beauty of the location.
Rooms Facilities:
76 Junior Suites: 70 m2 surface area in building with a maximum of 8
suites with thatched roof, 68 on either ground floor or first floor
and 8 on stilts on a natural fish reserve. Location is either -
along the beach - in a tropical garden facing the sea
- or on stilts overlooking the fish reserve They comprise one
bedroom with a sitting area indoors and a terrace or balcony, DVD,
hairdryer, mini-bar, safe, satellite TV, IDD telephone/answering
machine, one bathroom with double vanities, separate shower, WC and
bath. Junior Suites with connecting corridors are available.
12 Senior Suites: 130 m2 surface area. Individual villa type with
thatched roof. - 9 on ground floor level with a private heated
swimming pool and direct access to the beach - 3 on stilts on the
border of a natural fish reserve (without swimming pool) All have a
living room with dining/seating area with adjacent shower and WC,
DVD, hairdryer, mini-bar, safe, satellite TV, IDD
telephone/answering machine, walk-in closet, outdoor soaking bath
and terrace.
One Princely Suite: 350 m2 surface area comprising two junior suites
and one senior suite, internal courtyard, guest WC, DVD, hairdryer,
mini-bar, safe, satellite TV, IDD telephone/answering machine, mini
kitchen for staff use, terrace/dining area and two swimming pools.
Located directly on the beach in a secluded part of the hotel
grounds that offer utmost privacy, the Princely Suite also benefits
from three individual terraces each facing a different part of the
lagoon.
Restaurant and Bars:
L’Archipel restaurant, located in the main building, overlooks the
pool and the beach and set up across three areas, two of which are
open-air deck areas. L’Achipel is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner
and it offers an à la Carte service with light Mauritian enhanced
gourmet food.
Le Barachois Located in a unique environment at a distance from our
main building and surrounded by mangroves, this floating restaurant
comprises five decks seating a maximum of 40 people. It overlooks a
large natural fish reserve with an exceptional unspoiled view of a
mountain range. The sunset from Le Barachois is breathtaking. The
floating restaurant is open for dinner and offers daily specials
including grills, seafood and Mauritian delicacies.
The Laguna Bar Situated in the main building overlooking the pool
and the beach. The Laguna has two sundecks and serves cocktail
specialties of the house. There is light music entertainment in the
evening (piano, jazz, sitar, concert flute).
The Lounge Bar In the main building overlooking the pool and
adjacent to L’Archipel restaurant, the Lounge Bar is comfortable and
intimate, ideal for an aperitif before dinner and after dinner
drinks.
Fitness Centre Bar Specialises in healthy drinks and vegetable
juices.
The Health and Fitness Centre Situated in the hotel’s gardens, the
centre reflects the hotel style with a calming architectural design
and relaxed atmosphere. It offers a wide range of health and sports
facilities, and is open between 8 am and 10 pm.
Free facilities: Swimming pool with sun lounge chairs, air
conditioned squash court, fully equipped gymnasium, jacuzzi, sauna,
plunge pool and steam bath,
Payable facilities: Hairdresser and Beauty salon, massage, steam
bath and body treatment, (in-room massage can also be organised),
body doctor fitness, (personal fitness and well being programme),
aerobics and yoga
Land and Water Sports facilities:
Free facilities: Two hard-court tennis courts, hobie cats, water
skiing, laser boats, pedalos, glass-bottomed boat, snorkelling
trips, practice putting green, windsurfing, bicycles, kayaks, TV
channels, golf. (Guests can play free of charge at The Belle Mare
Plage’s “Legend” and “Links” golf courses, located approximately 10
minutes drive from Le Prince Maurice, free shuttle service to and
from the hotel is provided between 7 am to 7.30 pm.)
Payable facilities: Fly fishing, cruise on fish reserve, catamaran
cruise, golf equipment and lessons, deep sea fishing, scuba diving,
tennis lessons with pro,
The Children’s club: “Les Petits Princes” has a games room, dining
area and private pool and welcomes children aged between 4 and 12
years of age from 9 am to 9 pm. Indoor and outdoor activities are
organised daily under supervision and children’s menus are available
on request, as are baby sitting facilities (payable).
The Library: Offers a wide range of books, CD’s, DVDs and indoor
games free of charge to guests.
Meeting facilities: Business center with Board room accommodating up
to 16 people with a break-out room. Audiovisual equipment as well as
IT facilities such as computers, laser printers, photocopiers,
overhead slide projector, TV / video, cassette player, e-mail modem
are at the disposal of guests. A Guest Relations Supervisor can
assists with all secretarial duties during the entire meeting. Tea
breaks and private lunches and dinner can be organised on request.
Shopping facilities: Le Prince Maurice Private Collections, Bijem (jewellery),
Beauport (beach accessories and souvenirs)
Other facilities: Laundry and dry cleaning are available 7 days a
week, same day return for the laundry, next day for the dry
cleaning, Doctor on call, departure lounge with bathrooms, rental of
luxury cars with driver / guide, excursions and car rental desks,
limousine and helicopter transfers available on request (helipad on
site), WIFI.
Sharing policy:
Children (under 12 years) extra beds (max 1 in Junior Suite and 2 in
Senior Suite) are available only if child shares single suite with
one paying adult or double suite with two paying adults.
One adult in extra bed can be accommodated when sharing a double
Senior Suite with two paying adults.
Meal Plan:
Hotel rates include breakfast. Guests are entitled to breakfast
buffet at L’Archipel Restaurant. Breakfast orders in suite:
Continental breakfast can be served in suite with a tray charge.
Various options are available from a la carte menu at extra costs.
Dinner: Guests booked on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis are
entitled to a three course menu in one of the two restaurants (L’Archipel
or Le Barachois) or theme buffet whenever available.
Note: Dinner is optional and cannot be replaced by lunch. Extra
supplements are applicable for special dinners such a candle light
dinner/special dishes with lobster or caviar.

Itinerary: 7 nights
DAY 1: Depart from Johannesburg International Airport for
your flight to Mauritius. On arrival at the airport, our agents will
meet you and arrange private transfer to the Le Prince Maurice Hotel
where you will be staying for 7 nights on a bed and breakfast basis
DAY 8: Transfer to the airport and check in for your return
flight to Johannesburg.
Prices include:
International flights (ex Johannesburg), hotel accommodation and
meals as indicated, all airport-hotel transfers
